Warning ⚠️ Check your food orders before leaving the shop. I ordered a selection from the menu such as whole tail scampi, got home to find chicken nuggets. 🤔 Also ordered large cod in batter only to be giving a small cod. The batter was not crispy like it always has been. On their menu they state all fish are served with a slice of fresh lemon. No lemon given with this order. I tried to phone them but they would not answer and when I was in the shop 15 minutes before to order the food there was only 3 customers ordering food, so they couldn't be that busy 15 minutes later in this dark cold winter evening. The service and quality is on the decline. This is sad news as this was once one of the best chip shops in Southampton. 👎 I would not recommend this chip shop 🕵️‍♀️ until it changes it's standards, quality and staff to answer the phone and not cut the customer off. At times it is difficult to fined a parking space in the main road out side the shop as this is a busy road. 11.11.20 @ 5.30pm

Best chips for miles around, not too greasy, not re-cooked thick and fluffy inside. Sausages lovely too .Good price. First time tried last night this will now be our regular. Very good 😊

Just been and bought which should have been 3 half pounder burgers got home and had three quarter pounders which the burgers were small and very dry and tasteless and buns were not toasted and the chips were very pale and tasteless when you looked at them they were the colour of raw chips the only good part of the meal was the salad this used to be a brilliant fish and chip shop but not any more and will definitely not be going there again very disappointed and disgusted with what I received and shall not be recommending this shop to people that i know

Amazing fish and chips served in a box just great for the beach or eating in the car.perfectly cooked with the best thin crispy batter not at all greasy . brilliant opening times, spotlessly clean and polite friendly staff, fantastic prices too. After a recommendation we travelled from hedge end as they were so good,we will definitely be back.
