A great place to visit with the kids, loads to do, all interactive. The planetarium and science theatre were booked up, so can't comment on those, (it was half term)

Went in to visit as they reopened today, so glad to see they have been able to refit the whole place and how much care they are taking with their covid precautions. The science center is a great place for younger kids, and the planetarium is great for all ages depending on what is showing.

I visited in 2018 with my sister and father. I was staying at my sisters in Clanfield and we were looking for somewhere interesting to visit. My sister mentioned this Planetarium as somewhere she had never been and would like to visit. I was looking forward to it as I'd never been into a Planetarium before and was wondering if it would be anything like the one in the film K-PAX. After a 40 minute drive I was very dissapointed to discover the actual Planetarium was in use for some sort of conference and closed to the public. We'd checked the website for details before setting off and I was a little peeved that the website made no mention of the Planetarium being closed. We found this out once we had paid the admission fee. After 5 minutes of looking around the place it was obvious that the venue is really suited to young families with kids up to the age of 12. There was lots of activities/ games with a focus on learning science through play. It's a great venue for kids of junior school age, a good venue for school trips etc, but it's not a destination for older teenagers or adults. We did have a go of a few activities as my sister tried to salvage some value from the admission fee but after just 25 mins I suggested we ask for a refund. Thankfully the staff obliged after we explained that their venue isnt really aimed at aldults and the one thing we wanted to experience was closed that day. I'm not sure if they have changed their pricing since our visit but I'm certain had the Planetarium been open, there was a separate admission fee. If you really want to visit, i'd call them up and ask if admission to the actual planetarium is covered in the admission price.
