This bridge is a pretty standard design where a canal flows beneath a country lane. It's got a fair old hump in it and when I worked at W.J Furber's in my late teens I used to enjoy hurtling up this bridge on my motorbike and seeing how far I could jump, I had a few close calls I can tell you. I don't recommend you try this yourself as it's inherently risky.

This quaint bridge overlooks the Prees Branch of The Shropshire Union Canal, which is a narrow channel leading to Whixall Marina, and less than a mile further to the hamlet of Waterloo.
