Great food and arrived on time, as always the best Chinese takeaway in Stevenage. Five stars.
This is the 3rd or 4th time I have ordered with The Famous Chef and have always been very pleased with the service provided. Last night was a Birthday meal for my partner and her family. We were given a delivery time of 8:45am, the food didn’t arrive until 9:15pm. I rang the restaurant 3 time and spoke to the same man, each time he told me the food was out for delivery and that it would be there ‘very very soon’. It got to 9:10pm and the food still wasn’t here so I called again and the man called the delivery driver while I was on the phone and he said he was 1 minute away round the corner. He was then another 5 minutes late after this call.
Shocking service and I’d like some of my money back please!

Love this chinese take away. I've never had bad food or a problem with anything. Very nice and friendly service. The delivery drivers are always polite and friendly. Very impressed with this takeaway! Highly recommend!
Our meal turned up late, cold and tasted horrendous. The prawn toasts tasted stale and greasy as though they had been previously cooked and refried to order. The food was inedible and I make no joke that our scavenger dog even turned her nose up. This is also quite worrying. Needless to say, we shall not be making any further purchases from Famous Chef in Stevenage.
