My favourite chippy in the whole wide world. Best chips around consistently. Huge variety to choose from and all cooked to perfection.

Excellent chips again tonight. Chicken curry gets a 10 out of 10. And the pies are the much more expensive and better pukka pies. All on all a very enjoyable meal. And it saves the cooking and washing up which is a good bonus 😉

This chippy was our regular lunch time stop on Fridays and through the week Occasionally for a long time. Food used to be fairly good. However, since new ownership, prices have gone up and quality of food has gone down drastically. Sausage is like eating cotton wool, dry and flavourless, much like the chips.... City prices for Poor quality food, which sometimes is under cooked. The TVs look nice but were not needed...they just make it harder to read the menus and specials when the screens change. We will be going to Fish Kitchen 1854 in Maesycwmer in future, we dont mind paying a little more as long as we get good quality food etc...That said, Cheese chips and sauce cost almost half the price with triple the quality AND quantity at Fish Kitchen, much better service too! Also, every time we had food here, it resulted in dodgy stomachs. Dread to think what the kebabs will do to people. Simply put, it is no longer a Chippy. More like Shi**y. Literally.

Very slow. Ordered 2 chips, sausage in batter, fish bite and curry... chips were cooked, seasoned and wrapped, to be then thrown back in the chip bit as the fish was not cooked.. obviously not realising I was the customer as the one woman said no it's got salt n vinegar on them, dont worry was the response of the other woman!... when I questioned the staff regarding the matter another woman pipped up saying taste these ,they are fresh.. well let me tell you, after those chips sitting there for 15mi they were not fresh, my fish was piping hot, chips where ok. ... not fresh.. how many more people have they done this to without people knowing??? I will contact food hygiene regarding this matter.
