Out of all the gyms in the area, I would place this somewhere in the middle with gyms like DW and Bannatynes coming out on top. That doesn't mean to say it's a bad gym, not at all. Considering the current circumstances, they're quite laid back. No temperature checks, no mandatory cleaning and no masks makes everything easy and more accessible in comparison with other gyms. There's a decent selection of weight machines to suit all needs and goals along with knowledgeable instructors. As a trainee PT, it's handy to have the advice if I need it. The only area they fall short is in terms of customer service. You see, in other gyms I have visited, instructors make an effort to connect with customers. For example, at Palatine Leisure Centre, instructors will approach customers, ask how they're doing, check up on their programs, etc. Even if participants weren't regulars, instructors still made an effort to break the ice anyways. At Blackpool sports centre, this element seems to be vacant. This doesn't mean instructors need to pester customers by any means, but a simple hello, how's everything going goes along way in maintaining customer satisfaction. Improve this and the gym would be worth 5 stars. But overall, great venue, which meets initial requirements.

I pay to play football here twice a week. It would be good to have them repaint the lines in the Astro turf as they haven’t been done in ages And nobody knows if the ball is out of play. I’ll happily revise my rating if they fix this soon! Others have also complained about this to me.

Good facilities, I'm here all the time... But the bouldering room needs so much more attention. The amount of regular boulderers that pay into the place, but the routes are never changed! Such a community has gathered around the place, but the lack of new problems to solve is seriously effecting the potential of customers. If anyone from the centre is reading, have a look at the figures for the bouldering room for two weeks after it's changed. It's always the same, packed, and slowly dwindling as the months go by between change overs.
