The Design House Kitchen, Bathroom and Bedroom Showroom

I read previous reviews and was quite confident that we had made the correct choice by choosing the Design House. From the outset everything was done in a professional manner. Alex as designer of our bathroom was very good at trying to meet our budget and the plans for our bathroom were constructed and we were excited and when given a start date. This changed several times due to tiles not arriving and covid affecting one of the original fitters family and we were informed that we would be given different fitters so that the start date wouldn't be delayed any further. Apart from some minor hiccups that were attended to immediately mostly everything ran OK. The problems began when the fitter fitted our shower screen on the wrong wall which then impacted on the position of the bathroom cupboard and mirror. It meant that the cupboard would constantly slam into the wall tile. I pointed out the fact that I thought the shower screen should have been on the other wall as the original plan but the fitter stated it was on the correct wall and showed me the plan on his phone but this was difficult to see on his phone. However not wanting to make a fuss and thinking that it will all be OK and the shower will still work even though the screen wasn't in its original position we let it go. Monika came and inspected the work and we showed her the cupboard door banging into wall tile and she said she would find something that would fit onto the handle of the cupboard so that it wouldn't bang into the wall tile as hard. Bearing in mind we hadn't used the shower by this time yet. And I must point out that the tiling was very good. We couldn't fault this at all. Unfortunately when we had a shower it just flooded the bathroom. I took photos and sent them to Monika and by now we were panicking and upset that our bathroom wasn't as it should be. As a result of this many emails came back and forth and we stated that we wanted the bathroom to be as the original plan and that meant that the shower screen be moved to where it should be and that the cupboard and the mirror be moved to where they should have been originally. Unfortunately, moving the shower screen meant that there would be drilled holes showing where the screen had been. However and I can't remember who it was but someone suggested they fit a flipper glass there so this would cover the holes and also minimise water coming out of shower. At least they wanted to put it right and the bathroom itself does look lovely and modern and the tiling is a great job and the quality of the furniture is good. But I must say this.. Our shower still allows water to escape and we have needed to buy a shower curtain to stop the water coming out. And this curtain I feel spoils the look of the modern bathroom. I wouldn't deter anyone from buying their bathroom from the Design House as I feel it's good quality and also the workmanship is good. I just think we were a bit unlucky to have experienced a mistake that impacted on other parts of the bathroom. And I think I would suggest to people to ensure they have enough room in their bathroom for an open shower or purchase an enclosed shower.

We spent quite a few months looking around the area for a company to carry out a full bathroom refurbishment, believe me I think we actually went to every single one! It's not that they all didn't have what we liked but our first priority was finding a designer and a fitter we could trust and when we met The Design House team we absolutely felt we had found both. The time and effort spent in the design, explanation and searching for the very best prices in our products was the nerve settling meetings we hoped we would have and this level of care and expertise was easily matched by the attitude and skill of the bathroom fitter. The fitter was punctual, friendly, clean, fast and precise. He even suggested a design change which we loved and went with, that was the amount of pride he showed in his work. Matt, Monika and Alex have given us a truly wonderfuly bathroom loved by all who see or visit it. Well done guys, hope you are well and we look forward to working with you again.

We couldn't be happier with our beautiful bathroom from the design house! A stunning traditional bathroom with underfloor heating and finished beautifully by Matt. Customer service and attention to detail was always to the highest possible standard. So good that I'll be asking the design house to work their magic on our kitchen too! Hard workers with high standards, I would recommend them to anyone!

Had 2 bathrooms completed by The Design House and they look superb. The Installers Matt & Thomas where great to have doing the job and work to a very high standard. The beach themed bathroom with pebbles in the shower and a surfboard radiator looks really cool ! Would highly recommend the Design House for a new bathroom
