Having been concerned about my ability to catch everything in conversations for some months, I had a 30 minute appointment with Elaine. She examined both ears for wax (there were no obstructions) and screened for other issues using a pressure test. I then had a thorough hearing test in both ears over the whole spectrum of frequencies. This confirmed that my hearing was in fact very good and that no further measures were necessary. She thoughtfully and sensitively explained that my ability to concentrate in some situations maybe owing to other factors.
