I love afternoon tea so was delighted to find Dobbies does vegan afternoon teas! It was very nice (although we had to take some scones home because we were too full). The staff were lovely and nothing seemed too much bother. We were greeted with smiles and taken to our table. They asked if I wanted soy or oat milk straight away. One of our party (who doesn't drink tea) was offered a cold drink instead of tea, which was a pleasant surprise. We phoned ahead to ask if we could move our booking from 2:30 to 3:30 and they were happy to help. All in all 👍 Will be back!

My partner and I go here somewhat regularly to look around the garden centre and eat in the restaurant. The food is fine, the surroundings quite nice, and the selection is normally pretty good. The best thing, without a doubt, is the staff. They are very helpful, friendly and good humoured - even in the face of what seem to be a stream of not particularly pleasant customers. They keep us coming back!

We went for a sandwich, a cake and coffee. The staff were all very friendly and efficient but there weren't enough of them considering the lunchtime rush was about to start. There were no clean tables and nobody was available to ask. I cleared my own table. The food was excellent but we didn't get enough cutlery and serviettes. There was also an availability problem with ingredients (No avocado).
