It used to be nice quiet place bringing truly magical experience. The calcite stones used to lay on the beach giving that "wow" moment as all beach looked like covered with snow. Now it's barely the shadow of a great place it used to be, filled with fossil hunters armed with axes and other tools. On the upside the view is magnificent. You can walk right under Severn Bridge and have great look at the other bridge (forgot the name). There have been some educational points added (last time been here 10 years ago) explaining about the place, and path leading to the beach is in great condition (push chair/wheelchair) but then it's just pure rocky beach and it (still) beauty. Great place to visit really.

Great place to pick up some fossils. Try Hock Cliff too about 20 mins North of Aust

A quiet place with magnificent views across to both seven bridges. Flat and easy walking. Watch the tides they are very fast, and take you walking boots it can be muddy.

Lovely place with hardly anyone there. Great for exploring and fossils.

This place is excellent for fossils. The shells you find over the beach are from the Carboniferous. If you are looking for the Triassic fossils, they are in greyish rocks, with small black stones embedded. These black stones are actually coprolites, which is fossilised excrement.
