Had a fantastic service from the young girl showing me glasses, she was most helpful in helping me choose my glasses I wasn't rushed into buying the first pair, I felt she knew her job inside out. But trying to contact the store is diabolical to amend an appointment, in the end I contacted head office and they couldn't get through neither, the phone constantly rings, I know we are in a difficult time with covid 19, But please could someone answer the phone!!!!!

Having seen my GP, I needed an urgent appointment with an optician offering a Minor Eye Conditions service. I rang a number of opticians on the list given to me by my GP but Boots were the only one who understood what I was trying to book. I was given a same day appointment. I could not believe how thorough the optician was, I was in with him for well over half an hour. He diagnosed a condition, told me all about it and how to improve my symptoms. His manner was outstanding and no cost. Fantastic.

The services in store are usually ok but when trying to call them there isn't much support. The robot just repeats the same message and doesn't actually forward the call to anyone if you aren't able to press the buttons you need to. Also when you do choose who you have to talk to, most of the time the phone just rings a few times then stops and you hear faded talking in the background like there's someone there but no one picks up the phone. I had no problems with the staff in store, they are usually helpful and friendly. The phone line needs more attention.

Nobody ever answers the phone despite ringing on and off for hours!

Excellent service when in store BUT they NEVER answer the phone. I contacted HO and they could not get through either !!
