I was really unhappy with the service today. Firstly I was told that I was late for my appointment; I wasn't, and was able to prove this with my appointment card. When I was given my trial contact lenses the receptionist sat down and observed me. Whilst i'm a contact lens wearer of 32 years, I still become anxious when I'm removing / inserting lenses outside my usual routine. I explained to the receptionist that her observation of me was increasing my anxiety. Her response was that she had to watch me as there had been a mistake last time! I think if it was felt that I needed close monitoring this should have been explained (as a 45 year old qualified nurse I personally feel it was unnecessary for a shop assistant / receptionist to assume this role.) I'm genuinely appalled by the standard of customer care; I left the store and won't be returning. There is a real need for some customer service training!
