Lovely food - very generous portions. Love the haddock. And the staff are great. They have worked seamlessly through lockdown and have good distancing measures in place for the protection of their customers.

Great fish in breadcrumbs
I've been here twice now. Based on the first visit I would have given them 5 stars. Based on the second just 3, or maybe even 2. First visit yielded perfectly cooked fish with crispy, light, non-greasy batter and good, chunky chips. Second visit yielded cos with altogether too many tiny bits in the chips and the fish, while a good piece of cod, had been cooked at too low a temperature so the batter was flat, stodgy and greasy.
I'll still go back in the hope of repeating the first experience - the good was very, very good.
I can’t believe what I saw tonight when ordering food at this chip shop tonight, no food ready to buy in the hot cupboards , no chips ready either, and when the chips were cooked they were pale as my bed sheets ....no friendly service and two women taking their time as 8 people were waiting
I paid the £6.00 and bolted
Compared to the Whittington chip shop Lens is rubbish, I suggest you take a visit to a five star rated Chip shop and learn how they operate a excellent business
