Would have been a lovely place for our walk and dog to run if it hadn't been for all the dog mess. Wore wellies since we've had so much rain but my husband had dog mess caked in the tread ☹️, wasn't something we would have thought to keep our eyes open for, especially with £1000 fine signs.
Although entrance prices are high for the grade of racing, its justified by the quality of the facilities. The track itself is handily placed in the city centre, so easy to get to if your on foot.
Your viewing experience depends on which enclosure you've chosen. I prefer the winning post bar as it has singer on between races, a good selection of premium drinks and entry includes an excellent detailed racecard.
The bar as it suggests is located on the winning post and adjacent to the parade ring.
Enjoyed many a great day out with friends here and the day isn't finished when the racing has as the city centre offers good nightlife 🙂
Went with my dear friend Sophie. I opted for the fish & chips as I needed to ensure I had space for pudding. So happy I did as I chose the lemon pannacota. It was utterly gorgeous and looked like art on the plate. Will be re- visiting to have it again!!!
Lovely big area for family picnics, able to take gazebo, plenty of space to social distance and play family games. Parking free at the moment. No toilets available unless you go in the public house and buy a drink
Great place to park and eat and a short walk from the city centre. Recommended
