River Maun Recreation Centre

It's a nice complex it has a little gym with a decent selection of free weights and machines. Shower facilities are great and the staff are lovely. You have to book in advance for activites like 5-a-side football and they do have a lot of other things going on. The ability to combine membership with Mansfield's other leisure centres is definitely a bonus so that you can treat yourself to swim or a sauna every now and again at no extra cost. Overall, it's a nice little place where the staff make you feel very welcome. A great pitstop to on your way back from work. It's not for hardcore bodybuilders but there's definitely enough in there to keep you trim and fit.

I am writing in regards to numerous visits to the River Maun Recreation Centre, as I have been a guest to a few birthday parties over time on the Saturdays. Firstly, I felt the environment was clean and tidy throughout, I felt the car park situation could be improved on as both times they have been fully occupied. Everything in the main hall is always set up to satisfaction when I’ve been in both times. The Hall itself is perfect for parties for Children, having providing two massive Castles and a range of soft toys etc. The hall is quite large and was a little too noisy with the castles being on, however that was just personal preference. I also can’t thank some of staff enough on the weekend, very accommodating, the young Gentleman, who was polite and had a smile on his face and was very approachable, on both occasions and made me feel extremely welcome when I needed assistance and when being served at the reception. Also the Customer Service was spot on also, from the older female lady when asking for drinks etc, she was also made me feel welcome and was happy to assist me. However, the younger female staff member, this wasn’t the case unfortunately, I felt she came across as a little rude and noticed she rolled her eyes when she was assisting a fellow customer regarding party information, felt she should have been more professional and more discreet as this didn’t go unnoticed. However on a whole, I would definitely recommend this place for parties a like.

Went to the childrens 'Sports challenge' here during the school holidays. Facilitates were very clean, parking spaced plentiful and staff really friendly. The lady organising the games was amazing! Really good with the children, loads of fun and friendly. My daughter enjoyed every minute of it. Will definately be coming again.

We went to a kids party here. Great facilities, clean rooms and friendly staff.
