I had a test at Specsavers a couple of days ago. After browsing their range, I unfortunately could not quite find anything that suited me well, even though I was really keen because of the 2-for-1 offer. Once I found a frame online that suited me, I realised that I was missing a crucial bit of information to order new glasses - distance between my pupils. I went to the shop and asked them to measure it, which they refused on the grounds that it is not part of the standard test, and they only do it if I buy glasses from them. This makes a 25 pounds test unusable, because I cannot buy glasses from anyone else. This was also completely unnecessary refusal, because it would take them no time to measure it and leave a satisfied customer, it took them longer to argue that they don't do it. What makes it even worse, is that their website specifically suggests to book an appointment to get PD measured (see photo). I suggest that Specsavers should either provide all necessary information with their paid test, or make it free and offer only in conjunction with a purchase of glasses. For now - AVOID.
