Bought vinyl planks from here. Arrived on time and quality very good. Last plank in box was chipped so unusable. Phoned and spoke to Margaret(I think), the store manager. Had a spare in store so was given free of charge. Can't fault that. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Can't recommend highly enough. Thanks for great service and well done. Will be going there for my next project,unlike B&Q....but that's ongoing regarding my kitchen refit...will post soon.

Ordered flooring for 4 rooms and arranged fitting. Store initially appeared flexible and supportive re. dates for fitting and we were pleased with service received. However, on due date, with no show by 2pm I phoned store. Spoke to Jonathon who promised to investigate and call me back. No response to my second call at 3pm. I phoned again at 4pm to have him reel of several excuses as to why fitter wasn't going to come. Bearing in mind, we had cleared 4 rooms - including the kitchen - I was not impressed- particularly as no one even had the decency to have phoned to let me know. I then had to wait another 2 weeks for next fitting date. I went in to store the following day and spoke to store manager - she promised to look into it and call me back if there was an earlier timeslot. Again, no call back. I went in store day before the second delivery date (05Sep20) to check and was assured by Melanie that all was in hand. I phoned at 10am to see what time they would come - and was told flooring for 2 of the rooms was unavailable. The fitter had picture on phone to show me - if suitable, they would try and see if fitting could still take place today. Replacement was not suitable and by this time I was absolutely furious. Needless to say we cancelled the full order and have now pre-ordered elsewhere. The total lack of communication, diabolical customer service and complete inefficiency beggars belief. Having purchased every carpet in my house from Carpetright in the past, I can honestly say, NEVER AGAIN!

Awful experience...this after a friend had a previous bad experience but I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt. I contacted the Newport Road Cardiff branch and asked if they would come out to measure up for carpet as I wanted to make a purchase.. she wasn't sure if they could as it is for a Hotel (which was actually closed for guests due to the local lockdown) so not sure why this would even be a problem. She took my number and promised someone would call me straight back. A week later and still nothing, this is a shame as it would have been at least a couple of thousand pounds worth of business as it was for multiple guest bedrooms and a large lounge probably at least 10 metres by 10 metres..if it wasn't for the large bay window area I would have done it myself but I wasn't sure how to calculate this. Anyway lesson learnt as my friend had already said they are too big for their own boots and don't even recognise or care about basic customer service. I will never recommend or use this company again. My advise is use local independent stops because it will help support your local economy. David

Very poor service at Newport Rd branch. Their communication is terrible. I paid in June for LVT, arranged fitting date, which they cancelled the day before. Rearranged for a date they were sure would be ok, so rearranged furniture delivery around that. Once again the cancelled the day before, which was too late to rearrange furniture delivery. They said said we'd have priority for fitting and they'd call when my LVT was in, but didn't. I only found out it was in by calling back a month later to find out what was happening. Now, in September, on the third time fitting has been rearranged, the guy was supposed to turn up at 9. It's midday now. After calling the shop and finally getting past the answer phone, the time has been changed again, without even a call to inform me! An utter shambles. And don't get me started on the unexplained £270 "Adjustments" they tacked onto the bill, which negates a large part of the sale discount. Stay well clear!!!
