Just wanted to say a big thank you to Ruth at the Newcastle-under-Lyme branch. Ruth provided a very impressive service, ensuring that the new glasses fitted comfortably, nothing was too much trouble. This attention to detail is very important to someone who wears hearing aids and also has to currently wear a mask when out and about. Thank you Ruth your can do attitude was greatly appreciated and Boots are very lucky to have you on their team.

I went for a routine eye test and Anne the optician spent quite some time examining my left eye. Within 48 hrs I received a call advising me to visit my GP as she had noticed something worrying around my left eye. I was referred to Midland Eye within 7 days to have a BCC, Basel Cell Carcinoma, removed surgically from my eye lid. The thoroughness and utmost professionalism displayed really could have saved more than my sight!

Five stars to Phil, the Assistant Manager who went above and beyond to help me find an eye sight appointment within a five mile radius as soon as available. Sadly, Boots didn't have any slots today and Phil could have left it at that. But he called multiple optometrists to check whether they had slots - Thanky so much! Glad that Boots, Newcastle-under-Lyme have you!

Wonderful pleasant staff, we felt at ease as soon as we arrived. I had booked back to back appointments for my good lady and myself to save the hassle of coming twice, and only had to wait two days (unlike other places) After our eye exams we were shown there ranges of frames at various prices and the options available for our needs, my good lady only needed reading glasses so hers were very cheap indeed. Mine on the other hand need special lenses which ramp the costs up, slightly more than I was expecting but the service they provided was better than I expected so it balanced itself out nicely. Will I be going back? You bet I will 👍 Originally I gave boots opticians 5stars. But after buying a second pair for glasses online saving myself around £250 yes £250 I feel like I've been robbed. Then to rub salt into the wounds they ask me for my feed back. The staff were great friendly and helpful, but there pricing structure just takes the Mickey

I am a Reward customer with Boots and have my contact lenses delivered monthly. My opticians is in Chester but I work in Burslem and today I lost a lense while at work. My sight is terrible and I cant drive or function without my lenses and i had stupidly left my spares in my other bag. I contacted the Newcastle and Hanley Opticians and they were both amazing. They both called my opticians in Chester and confirmed my prescription and I am now on my way to collect a spare lense. Thank you so much for going above and beyond to help me today.
