Beautiful walk! . Autumn colours. Very informative and interactive for the children! There is a path around the castle in the woods and the path all way up to the castle. Both very good for a run or walk.

I love this place. I have been visiting all my life and have seen well thought out changes to the grounds and maintenance to the castle. Although very close to a motorway and several main roads, it is in beautiful surroundings, quiet, and great for viewing the surrounding area from top of the hill. King of the castle 🙂

Nice place for some sledging. After a snow down pour the night before. Really nice woods to explore too. Fab

It was a wonderful day out despite the rain, clear paths all throughout the area. Only reason why I don't give 5 stars is because I was rather disappointed we could not enter the keep of the castle. Very historical.

Great for a winter walk. Very muddy so boots needed. Benches for a picnic. Toilets not open.
