I cannot recommend the Corris Mine (Quarry) experience enough. Absolutely First class activity, should you find yourself in Mid-Wales. The tour would not be same without tour guide "Mole". He made us all feel at ease and made sure we all got our monies worth. Definitely go for the 2 hour tour, to get the full impact. No negatives or criticism due.
A lovely stop! I can certainly recommend the cafe, and gin lovers MUST stop by the Dyfi Distillery. Parking is available for cars and campervans alike, and there's a lovely selection of locally sourced produce.
The best mine/underground tour we've ever done! Moley was so informative and passionate about the mine, happily answered all our questions and it was just all round a really fascinating experience!
Really enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide, with great patter. Made for a very enjoyable visit. We did the 1 hour trip as I was nervous about being too cramped (I'm 6”6’ tall) but was actually mostly fine - just had to duck occasionally.
Absolutely fantastic activity with Mark, who could any answer questions big or small. He led the group amazingly well, and was very generous with his time. Money well spent as well! A lot of it goes to support the upkeep of the mine/ overheads of the tour. Much of the mine is slowly degrading.
