Cheap food and lots of it.

Very disappointed in the carvery. The meat was like rubber, vegetables were dry and the only good thing i can say is the staff were brilliant. I've been going to this carvery for years and always loved the food but unfortunately this time the food was terrible. I should have complained but I just wanted to get out of there and come back home because I was starving. Regardless of COVID 19, they shouldn't have sold food that had been there all day. I wasted my money and it wasn't cheap. I had intended taking a take away to bring home but I cancelled it. If the cedar Tree are going to continue selling dry and tasteless food then they shouldn't have opened up. It's very sad that they sold food that had been there all day just to make sure they had an income. Regardless of the fact that we are hit with this pandemic, the doors should stay shut before they get a bad name. I'm just being totally honest and would like to warn people before they waste their money. Janet Mullen

Just returned from early dinner at 5.15.. my husbands all day breakfast was very reasonable but my carvery, with the exception of the meat was very tired. Roasties and parsnips were burnt and flavourless. Yorkshire Pudding like a rock. Some of the veg were nice but the meal was drowned in tasteless very thick gravy. The veg had obviously been hanging around a very long time. Great place good safety measures and nice staff. Very disappointing carvery, as i particularly love a carvery. We will be back but will avoid the carvery .

Very disappointing, this is one of my favourite places to eat! Eat there on the14th Nov. Starter was forgotten about so I received mine after a reminder to the waitress, but everyone else had finished eating theirs. Had the curry for main meal which is usually beautiful but the poppadom was raw along with the pitta bread. The curry - chicken was awful, chips cold! Very disappointed 😞

Just came here for a cocktail pitcher and a sharing platter. Exactly what you would need for a 'pub grub' happy to come here again. Have had the carvery here in the past and always hits the spot. Very friendly staff and good service.
