You can no longer park on the road and take photos of cars in the water. The river has been managed and changed and there is now a new bridge. A shame. Otherwise you can stop and it is nice to sit by the river.

I didn't find this area any better than any other area but we still enjoyed the calmness around. We had company of cows that really made the evening!

love the devils elbow on the way nice place to sit down and enjoy your self .sip some hot drink bring your own .

Start point for a couple of my most favoured walks… Fan Llia to Cwm Du and Fan Fawr respectively. The former is fairly easy for regular hill walkers, Cwm Du is beautiful in good light. The route to Fan Fawr can be arduous in poor conditions, but it’s a worthy summit. It doesn’t lend itself to a circuit though, requiring a significant length of return journey over same ground.
