Good central city location for the department, very fast and professional service

I dialled 999 in the local area while being assaulted. When I escaped my assailants, I made my way to a safe location and waited for the police to arrive. The cops gave me almost no time at all to try to explain what was going on before falsely accusing me of being on drugs, lying to the 999 operator and wasting their time. They presented these accusations as though they were unquestionable facts and refused to consider the possibility that they might be wrong. This is the only time I've ever dialled 999. I recognise that this number is used for serious emergencies and I don't see it as a joke. Because of the rudeness and incompetence of the police on this occasion, I have lost all faith in the police.
