More details have been asked for so I am going to do that here. My mother made an online appointment to get new glasses and had a very nice time choosing the pair she wanted. The lovely lady that helped her told her they would be ready 2 weeks Wednesday and gave her an appointment for 10.30 that day. I phoned up and asked if the glasses had turned up that day and was told I needed to make an appointment to collect, but we already had an appointment???? We were told by the very very rude telephone assistant that we didn't have an appointment and we needed to make an appointment! I told this woman that..that was not good enough as we had an appointment! She exclaimed do you want the appointment or not?? How rude my mother is in her 70's and does not need this rudeness! We will never darken your door again, I will never tell anyone to go here either as your staff let you down this day as well as us! I have never been made to feel like I had to take or leave a service we paid for at your business, this has nothing to do with Covid restrictions it has everything to do with your customer service and focus being completely wrong! Show customers respect be it in person or over the phone.

Overall a good experience. The lady with pink hair (sorry didn't catch her name) who helped me pick new frames was lovely and provided exceptional customer service.

Friendly staff, not too much waiting around, and a pretty decent deal on new glasses - a regular pair and some Rx varifocal sunglasses. I had it in my mind that I was going to get my current 2 pairs reglazed and felt like I was being pressured into buying new ones. I must've looked a little suspicious of the lady's motives who was selling me the frames, but credit to her she was very patient and explained that reglazing would work out more expensive. As the frame price includes the glazing charge, reglazing 2 pairs = buying 2 sets of lenses, paying extra to have one pair tinted as sun glasses, and then 2 glazing charges... Whereas the "2 for 1", on new frames = pay only for 1 pair of lenses & frames, and get the sunglasses free. It was quite a saving. If you live locally and need an Optician they're worth a look.

Good service and thorough eye test. New OCT scan of your eye costs £10 extra but shows all the layers in your retina. Good selection of frames and no hard sell if your prescription has not changed since last eye test.
