We chose David Gilkes again for our house move - as it was undertaken so professionally three years ago, we had no hesitation in booking them again. It’s a stressful day not knowing when keys are going to be available and vital info not coming through but the David Gilkes removal team took the stress out of the actual moving element. The team turned up promptly, as planned and got stuck in straight away. Rooms were becoming empty so quickly and two beds were dismantled (and reassembled in the new house upon arrival) and the whole process was so straight forward - which enabled our time to chase Solicitors, Estate Agents and do some final cleaning of the house. Sofa’s and large items just went through doorways that seemed impossible and it was increasingly apparent everyone knew their roles and how best to work. Even the van was stacked up like an elaborate game of Tetris! Once the house was clear the whole lot was transported carefully to the new house (and when we finally were able to pick up the keys) the team were able to unload, placing each box or piece of furniture in the correct rooms, no problem. The price of moving is ridiculous with costs for admin fees, searches (tin mines!!?) and all sorts of add-ons you must pay, to us the cost of the removal company - David Gilkes - was unquestionably money well spent and worth every single penny. Brilliant, brilliant service, from the Office team prior to the move (and the reassurance for the potential late keys on moving day - thank you!) and the moving team themselves for their incredibly hard work. Highly recommended and we would have no hesitation in using them again for our next move.
