Easy to park outside on the High Street or from Ell Lane. There are some picnic benches around. Good view from the top. Not very exciting but something local to to for an hour and it's fun in the snow!

Nice place for a short walk and not far from a couple pubs.

Just a picnic area but room to throw a frizbee or kick a football maybe. The castle mound is quite impressive, but extremely steep. It could ideally do with some railings as it's easy to fall down as one of our family members proved but fortunately not fatally. You don't have to climb the mounds to enjoy the picnic area though, and parking is free on the road near the church.
