Gentleman arrived in a Taxi today to drop items off, a few bags and he'd come from Abertridwr. Lady in stockroom refused to take his donations as he said it was mainly toys, she said they didn't want them could only accept clothes at the moment and it was a health and safety issue! Made him call another Taxi to pick him and the bags back up. He was trying to do a good turn, he was spoken to rudely and I'm quite surprised he didn't just walk out and leave them there. Probably cost him in excess of £10 not to help a charity today. I understand that due to the time of year lots of charity shops are inundated with donations but that was no way to treat someone who was trying to help, at considerable expense to themselves for transport. I'm also aware of some practices to ease excess stock at such shops and this whole situation could have been handled much more professionally.
