What a wonderful cafe. It was busy but expected during the Christmas period. They also did explain there would be a wait. The coffee was tasty fresh and lovely. The cheese and red onion toastie was the best ever. Thick brown poppy seed slices, loads of cheese and onion, absolutely gorgeous. The service was fun and friendly, busy inside and outside but everyone prepared to wait which says it all. Definitely recommend.

Visited the cafe just after Christmas. It was open and very busy which was a good sign. It was a short wait but worth it for the fabulous coffee and best onion and cheese toastie I have ever had. Thick fresh brown bread, loads of filling, perfect. The service was very friendly and I will definitely make a point of visiting when I am back in the city.

Fascinating place, examining a period of history not often featured. Presented in an interesting way, in the actual buildings where it took place. Well worth a visit.

We went to the cafe at the Commandary. As the sun was shining we sat outside and had hot chocolate and a slice of delicious cake to share. All Covid rules were adhered to and the staff were friendly and efficient.

Popped in Sunday afternoon for cake and coffee. All very nice. The.ham and cheese toastie my son had was the nicest toastie he's ever had!
