British Heart Foundation collected some pieces of furniture from my house in Cambridge today. I was appalled. One of the men who came to collect the furniture was incredibly rude. He was dismissive and patronising about the items he was collecting and he left having been rude and abrupt. I shall not be recommending or giving to the bhf again.

Terrible organization. On Saturday morning I bought a fridge and a furniture and I arranged with the staff to deliver them to me on Monday but not in the morning because I will be at work. So we discussed about it and we conclude to deliver them after 17.00 in the evening when my friend will be at home and will be able to collect the items. The problem is that they did not even took a notice of that information(which I believe is really important) and they called me today around 13.00 to let me know that my delivery will be home in 30mins. Me and my friend explained to the driver that we have arranged a different time of meeting and even if they come around 13.00 no one will be home!!! I still believe that I am not over reacting. And to finish with this terrible organization they told me that if I want to arrange another delivery time they will charge me again!!! Can someone, please do something for that because I am really unsatisfied with the service and is impossible to communicate properly with the ones that did this mistake! Is unfair for me to pay again for a delivery that they did wrong! I was clear to them about the working hours and I repeat these details three times so I can be sure and of course this was the reason that l gave them a second number so I can make it easier for them!!! I would really appreciate if someone can get in contact with me and and help me with this matter!

I have just tried to arrange for a good quality kitchen table and other good quality items to be collected. The staff member who took the call immediately started cutting across me to sort out her tick box chart of questions. Her brusqueness was very off putting. When I said politely that I thought she was being quite rude, there was no apology; and when I said I'd offer the items elsewhere, she just said "OK, goodbye" as if nothing had happened, and hung up. I'm not super sensitive, and I'm not happy to be leaving a negative review. But I think you should treat potential donors with some respect. It felt like you were doing ME a favour, and with bad grace at that.

Great shop - wide range of furniture for good value. Had my bed and bedside cabinet delivered (£20 for delivery). Delivery guys brought everything in and were very friendly. Would recommend.

I bought a second hand hotpoint washing machine just over a week ago for my daughter, who has learning difficulties and was therefore unable to buy it herself. I paid £80 for the washing machine plus £20 for it to be delivered to her flat. However, after connecting the washing machine and turning it on I soon realised that it was defective. Possibly due to a blocked or faulty water valve. An arrangement was then made for it to be collected for repairs and I was told that I would get a refund as soon as it was collected. This morning I went back to the shop with my receipt and payment card. However, I was then asked by the male shop assistant Smith If the washing machine was delivered Ok. I told him yes it was. He then told me that because it was delivered Ok they can therefore only refund me £80 instead of the £100 that I paid. I have been buying furniture from this Cambridge branch for myself and for my disabled daughter for the past 8 years and I have never had any problems with my purchases until now and this is the gratitude that I have now received. I was told by BHF customer services that all their appliances are thoroughly checked before placing them in the shops. This obviously is untrue otherwise they wouldn't have sold me a faulty washing machine. As the fault is theirs and not mine I expect a full refund and I will therefore make a formal complaint. Also, on Saturday 25/8/18 I rang the shop to arrange a collection of my 2 leather nearly new armchair and recliner that were both in very good condition. A young impolite girl called Angelica answered the phone and took my details, she then said that she could get someone out to pick it up the next day between 12 to 6pm. I waited in the whole day however no one turned up to collect the armchairs and I did not receive any phone calls or text messages from the shop explaining why they couldn't make it. I have now arranged a collection from another charity shop In Cambridge and they were very professional and polite when they collected my armchairs. However, myself and my family will no longer shop at this Cambridge branch due to the poor service that we received..
