Lots of great things about the shop it was my first visit today. Super easy to park, very good range of watercolour paints including different brands. I honestly think you would always find what you need, so worth the special drive into town. Sadly today let down by the service. I have been looking at upgrading my watercolour brushes and maybe trying a different brand of paint. I was asking about brushes and explained I wasn’t looking for something mid range, but no real advice was offered. The gentleman behind the till was less than enthusiastic and actually abruptly ignored me while we were in the middle of a conversation to talk to the other staff member who was serving someone else. I don’t know quite what I did to deserve this and I walked out without any advice and with the feeling of basically being dismissed! This was a missed opportunity to give some advice and secure a regular customer. I’m a relatively new artist but pretty serious and with money to spend. For me to come into the shop rather than shopping online it’s got to be worth the trip, and personal advice would be the thing that makes me do this rather than going straight to amazon for my supplies. All that being said it’s contrary to other reviews about staff so perhaps it was just an off day.

I was like a child in a candy shop. If it wasn't for the fact that I was still looking for a good place to start painting once more I would have bought the entire shop and live the rest of my life paying my credit card bills. A large selection of student and artist grade painting materials, as well as a variety of other arts and crafts supply. When I was last here I did see some leaflets for art classes, I'm not very sure if it is a regular thing.
