A to Z Removal Services Limited

Ian the owner is quick to try to get you to use his company. His quote was very competitive and he sounded very nice over the phone, together with researching his company reviews we booked our move with A to Z. The move went smoothly and the removal men worked very hard to get everything moved in a timely fashion. Ian explained that we would be insured however he did not go into the finer detail of the insurance policy. To be fair we did not read the policy in it's entirety. After the move we found damage to our banister rail and over the period of about 12 days after the move we found one of our antique wooden arm chair legs had been ripped off and put back on with the weight of the chair hiding the breakage. It was only after we decided to put the chair in its correct place in the room that on lifting it up it fell off, it had been split. On contacting Ian to advise he changed from his caring attitude to one of not accepting any blame for the damages and quoting his insurance £250 excesses and 7 day claim policy and telling us it is too late. It is ironic that he claims in his email back to us that we should have informed him within 7 days of the move however it has taken him 9 days to reply to my initial contact with him advising of the damage after texting him three times during that period. We accept that accidents happen that is not why we are giving this company only two stars it is the lack of customer service and acceptance when something goes wrong, Ian could have politely said he accepted that this could have happened and nicely pointed out the insurance policy instead of sending out his robotic reply. Shame as up until I received his reply to our claim I would have still given a higher score. Advice if you use A to Z please read their insurance policy form cover to cover and if anything goes wrong please do not expect Ian at A to Z to take any responsibility.
