Really enjoyed the walk around this beautiful place. The food and coffee from the cafe was nice too. I liked how routes where sign posted and some of the buildings had information about them. I've noticed that not all NT places do that, which is shame, as there have some really interesting places and buildings. I'd recommend this place as one to explore, we will be going back to see explore some of the places we missed.

A wonderful place to take the kids. Many acres of woodlands and Riverside walks as well as many manicured gardens, fabulous flower displays, ponds and play areas. Breathtaking views from the newly renovated balustrade. Clean and amply stocked cafes for hot and cold drinks, snacks and of course ice cream and a well earned rest stop. All details on the National Trust Web site. This well run exquisite stately property with its friendly staff makes for a perfect 2hr, 4hr or day out trip.

Wonderful big open spaces for everyone to enjoy. Kids can run about freely and explore the woods and enjoy sitting by the river. Lots of woodland walks and play areas for children. It also has a beautiful pagoda in the grounds and a lovely fountain too. So close to London!

Extensive woodland and riverside walks. Boat hire and short trips on the Thames can be pre-booked online. The parterre garden next to the house complements the oriental water gardens, topiary, floral borders and rose garden which are close to the main entrance. Usual National Trust cafe for coffee. Lots to see, swans and ducks at the riverside, circling red kites overhead, statuesque herons in the water gardens and if you sit quietly you may see the odd deer in the woodland.
