As of end December 2020, the walks are intact though muddy. The playground was icy and slippery, but it is quite impressive in its scope, with activity areas for most ages, stages and abilities. Most of the interactive pieces were working, but some effort will be required in the New Year to ensure that the equipment is all in working condition. My main gripe is that there are no working toilets, allegedly due to Covid, though I was under the impression that under current restrictions public toilets would remain open. This restricts the usefulness of the whole site.

Fantastic play park, newly refurbished, with sensory area and disabled access. Shops are good and the ice cream shop is lovely. Only downside was the bins were all full to overflowing and coaching with wasps. We did visit at the very end of the day though so I'm sure they'd be fine earlier on but, just a suggestion, more bins (with lids) would be advantageous. All in all an enjoyable wee place where we spent a good hour or so.

Harestanes has one of the best play parks in the borders. One of the shops sells amazing waffles and coffee. Then there is a little ice cream shop around the back for the kiddies. If you like craft gin there is a gin distillery onsite too.

Beautiful woodland walks. Lovely peace and quiet .as hard or as easy as you like saw loads of wildlife. Nice little cottage industrys to have a look at when your finished. Had a mn ice cream from "marys dairy" it was fantastic she even makes her own cones and chocolates to take away

Great place, has some wee shops, lovely hot drinks. Walking the dogs in the rain but still a good walk & very muddy
