Steeles Removals limited

We had a really terrible experience with Steele's Removals and we want to warn other potential victims. First the unit assigned to us leaked, despite being locked with a padlock bought from Steele's, damaging one of our mattresses and some artwork. Steele's then offered to move our remaining possessions in the unit to elsewhere on site (we were assured they would be secure) and deliver them to a new location, free of charge, as compensation for the above damage. After the items were delivered to the new location, we discovered several items missing including jewellery, kitchenware and a decorative fruit bowl. We begged Steele's to investigate and do everything they could to find the missing items, especially as they have CCTV on site. They refused as they said it would take up too much of their time! Avoid, avoid, avoid!!! EDIT: OUR RESPONSE TO OWNER'S STATEMENT BELOW: The items are absolutely missing and occurred in the care of Steeles Removals so we rapidly reported the incident to police. From what we have been told by police, Steeles supplied limited CCTV footage to them and visibility of what was occurring with our items is poor. The unit door was locked with a padlock and Steeles have got some nerve blaming us for water getting into a LOCKED and closed unit!! Customers want storage units to be infallible in protection from water damage.

Steel’s were fantastic. Very flexible when organising our move, especially considering the time of year and COVID. Great lads too, worked really hard, packed a huge amount into the van and all arrived safely. Good price too, I highly recommend.
