Came here for lunch on a Friday. We tried coming for dinner earlier in the week but the restaurant was closed even though we had made an online reservation, so I would advice to call ahead to check! Lovely place with a view of the river. Food was also good! We had the grilled goats cheese to start, the pan fried coley and the pork belly for mains. As we had to rush to catch a train we didn’t have time for dessert sadly. The food was simple but enjoyable fare, and the service was impeccable. Would recommend!

Always one of my favourites, a little hidden gem in Cambridge. I have been for anniversaries, birthday, as well as end of school year dinner with colleagues. The service can be a little slow but the view is amazing, especially in the summer. The prices are reasonable and I really like the tranquility of the place.

A hidden gem! Soup, pate, pork, chocolate brownie, all delicious, house rose very nice too! Great views of the river, service friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!!!

We were the only 2 people for lunch which was a bit odd. However service was friendly and food was good. We were charged £18 for two courses despite the website stating £16. We were also charged a 10% service charge despite the bill stating that this was optional for tables of 6 or over. View was nice but could probably get better value and experience elsewhere.

We went looking for this place, having read previous reviews, and it is slightly off the beaten track. It very close to the river and a Hilton Garden Inn, you could be put off by the building it is a 1960/70s concrete building resembling an office block. We certainly were not sure we were in the right place when we entered and went upstairs The restaurant on the first floor gives some amazing views of the river and fields and you can watch life go by. Service is good, unobtrusive with some good food to match. Being part of Cambridge University and being used by the university for functions it is best to book so that you know it is open. The only downside is because of the university connection they do not have any background music and lunch can be a bit sterile - but it gives you all the reasons to concentrate on the food, which is good. Highly enjoyable quiet and good views, in as we found out a listed building. A very good option for lunch
