We were just sitting on a bench for a long time and enjoyed the sunshine... Really relaxing place. The tower looks much higher than the the photos showing... Beautiful, anyway! If you want a little time peace and quiet just visit it.

Great for windsurfing in the area but watch out for the tide and current as it goes very fast..

This is an unusual Victorian design being square not round, as is usually the case with lighthouses. However, I believe this to be a 'leading light' (by which vessels adjust their course), not a lighthouse. It can be viewed from the road and with care, more closely on the shore. It is not safe to enter. You are within walking distance of the 'Concle' see my review of this pub built in 1830.
