First time eating out since the covid pandemic and the waitress there was superb. Unfortunately I cant remember her name, she was very chatty and friendly and explained the new systems. Absolutely fantastic service and made sure the children were all happy and comfortable as well as us oldies. Food was great. Pretty much the same but table service and the serving staff dish up the veg etc that you wanted instead of helping yourself at the carvery. Pleasant experience all round. Thank you to the waitress with the pink hair

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Probably only come here 3 or 4 times a year, for birthday/Christmas meals etc, but have NEVER had a bad experience here. Staff are lovely and can't do enough. Warm welcome! And it's local to where I grew up/visit every few weeks. Thank you Toby Carvery Cardiff Gate! :-) x

Very busy , social distancing good , except for exiting , lot of people came in and stood by desk , waiting to be seated .

We booked for breakfast at 8am today. Was made to wait 27 minutes for breakfast to be ready, and when I said it was a disgrace to keep us waiting and asked for a manager to be informed, we were told that they had no bacon and had to go to Asda to get some. The bacon was horrible and thick like slices of gammon. And when we came to pay i asked for a manager to come to give us a discount for the long wait and no explanation when we arrived. Yet the manager had disappeared, how convenient. Poor service will not be going to this one again, we go to Toby carvery all over the country and have never been treated like this
