Can only rate for takeaway, as that's all they're able to do at the moment. Absolutely amazing though, and an excellent price. You'd pay double this in London, easily. Had the sharing platter and it was stunning, really good quality food. Highly recommended, and will definitely be trying again once places are able to open up as normal (or near to it!)

Had the platter delivered by pappy’s on the 21st November and I can honestly say it was fantastic. It was hot, tasty and so succulent. The portions were substantial and well worth it. Thank you Robin for going above and beyond.
As a former New Yorker, I have eaten a lot of excellent barbecue, and Pappy’s certainly ranks amongst the best of them. What a pleasant surprise to find such authentic and delicious barbecue in the Lake District!
Had our first try of Pappys and WOW we will be back. We had the meaty loaded fries and the sharing platter it was all sooo good, and lots of food. Give it a try you won't be disappointed.
This homesick texan got slice of home from this smokehouse. The beef ribs were cooked to perfection along with the brisket, the only thing was that the beans were undercooked. But other than that spot on
