Fantastic walk through this dale, park at upper Haddon, good car park (pay and display) then walk down to the dale. You walk along the river through a sparse wooded area, plenty of wild life, loads of places for a picnic in nice weather or just for a stop with a flask of coffee. Continue along to Jacob’s Ladder and either cross the bridge and go up over the fields with fantastic views, or carry on walking through a more rocky area. This brings you to a path between high cliffs. This area has mine shafts so stick to the path. It’s like being in a forgotten part of the world, then go across the fields to the village of Monyash, all in all a two hour walk at a nice saunter to take in all of nature. Definitely recommended!!!

Lovely scenic walks along the river Lathkill, some good circular walks. Car parking in pay and display car park at Over Haddon, public toilets available in the car park. Pretty steep hill from the car park down to the river. Parts of the river can completely dry out in the summer but still worth a visit. Highly recommended and not far from Bakewell another must visit.

Fabulous scenery with Limestone cliffs, steep ravines with scary steps, River Bradford, small waterfalls, clear ponds, wooden bridges and great trails. Need to be reasonably fit to get up and down the dale.

Beautiful gentle walk through the valley bit harsh underfoot in places but worth the effort
