My Daughters getting married here in 2022,thats how much we like it here. The foods outstanding, very clean and spacious. Lovely outdoor area with benches and a park area, climbing frame with a slide, swings, ropes etc. We couldn't get our Grandkids off it. The gardens and lake area are outstanding, well kept and colourful. Ideal for a weekend break as its near Chesterfield is and Sheffield if you want to explore. Amazing for weddings, we've seen the rooms set up and it looks spectacular. I've been to a wedding here also and it was lovely. The evening buffet of pie n peas was FAB!
Very nice hotel with all essentials and even a kettle! We had a room with a roof window, so could not see the area, which I was looking forward to a bit. Breakfast lovely, but the hotel needs more staff, as the waiting time at breakfast was a tad too long. Other than this I would definitely recommend, as Peak District was only 40 mins away.
Every member of staff were welcoming, helpful, not been in an English Hotel that was so good in every aspect. Room 17 clean and cosy, food excellent (good Northern portions) quiet garden to relax in and have a g and t and reading book after a busy day. Enjoyed our time at Renishaw Hall and Vineyard a short distance away. Thank you everyone.

A party of 13 well catered for in these restricted times. The QR code on tables to the web based menus made ordering drinks a dessert easy. Pre-order of food did not quite go to plan with one meal delayed as incorrect on the pre-order.
The staff were apologetic and remedied the situation to the satisfaction of all...13 empty plates scores the food highly!
My only bug bear...and this is with most establishments.. MORE VEG PLEASE...
