Very atmospheric and peaceful spot. Definitely work the walk there through a beautiful area of woodland- that’s if you don’t end up at White Peak Distillery on the way... A large area of conifers have been removed around it I imagine to allow more native trees to flourish which is good to see.

Nice to see and touch a piece of history, but it does need to have some sort of fence built around it along with an information sign telling the story.

Not much to see, but a good area for walking and mountain biking.
