B! Health & Fitness Honiton

So very sad to have had such a great experience using the gym over the months I was living in Devon, only to find that after having moved away from the area and having advised the Gym owner and emailed the credit company used to handle the membership back in May this year, that over an admin issue (written proof of moving... utility bill etc), I have been charged an additional £70 today by B Fit Honiton (not by the credit company used to administer the membership) for un-paid fees since my cancellation, despite the fact that the credit company did acknowledge my cancellation email back in May this year. Awful that I have effectively been fined £70 by B Fit Honiton over a minor admin issue, when I would have been more than happy to have provided whatever additional proof were needed that I had actually moved away from the area. If only I had been reminded that additional written proof of moving were needed much sooner!!! I had provided full forwarding contact information and yet I heard nothing until today the 4th September 20. I do not consider that I have been treated at all fairly or professionally, or with any degree of compassion for my personal situation by B fit Honiton today. I did in fact cancel my membership exactly as requested by the gym owner on the 22nd May 20!!! The request for additional proof of moving was not requested by the membership company until the 26th May 20. It would have been helpful to have been contacted to remind me to send additional proof within reasonable time, NOT to wait until the 4th September to find the matter was still outstanding!! I DID do all that was requested of me to cancel my membership on the 22nd May 20 by the Gym owner!! I simply did not see the email of the 26th May requesting written proof of moving by the membership company!! Update: 5th September 20 Having spoken today to the credit company who manage B Fit Honiton's memberships, I can confirm that the matter has been clarified and resolved. Please make sure if you are moving away from the area that you provide written proof of moving as soon as requested by the membership company!! This has been a costly oversight for me in that I did not see or act on the e mail requesting written proof of moving sent to me some four days after my original cancellation email to the membership company. Hopefully I can save any other members leaving the area from experiencing what I have had to go through!!! A great gym but be very careful regarding membership issues!!!!

I cant fault the gym ive been going here for over a year and the gym equipment is top quality and always clean and tidy and all staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Great atmosphere every time

Best Family run gym you could wish to find. Anyone who may be nervous at the thought of Joining a gym should head straight to B Health and Fitness a gym where people really do care about you and the journey you are on. Great opening times, excellent facilities and a fantastic team.. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

I should have written this review months ago! Great team, clean equipment and comprehensive facilities. Perfect to place to train at in the mornings after I dropped my brother off at school.
