Good if you’ve got a simple prescription. Any problems with eye health then don’t bother! Take your money for an eye test. Any imperfections an hospital referral that will never happen. Glasses that are needed never being allowed to buy! Il buy online to someone that will actually deliver what I need! Bye bye 👋

Best Specsavers I’ve been to in regards to testing and customer service. They didn’t have as many glasses to choose from compared to the larger branches, but made up for it with their amazing service. The optician who tested me was really thorough and friendly and I didn’t feel pressured for time when choosing my glasses. Thanks and will be returning.

If you are elderly and especially if you have health problems give this place a miss because if you have the misfortune of turning up early for your appointment you will be expected to stay outside in the cold until your appointment time without any discourse as to whether or not you will be all right to do this! This happened to me at my appointment to collect new glasses, yesterday 15th December. With it being so close to Christmas I allowed plenty of time for traffic, parking and queues. As it happened I didn't have too much trouble and arrived early for my appointment. There was only 1 member of staff attending the locked door and a queue of people outside waiting to be attended to. By the time someone spoke with me I was frozen and not feeling too great. I gave my name and when the member of staff came back I was told I was too early to come in. I understand the reasons for the precautions but as I was waiting in the cold to speak to someone 3 patients came out and NO-ONE went in so the premises were NOT overcrowded and had the member of staff been concerned enough to ask a 72 year old person they were OK to stay in the cold for 10 minutes or so they would have been told no as I needed to sit down, have a drink and take some diabetic medication to relieve my symptoms! I lost my temper and told him not to bother and went home. When I am feeling better I will telephone to ask them to post my glasses offering them the money to cover postage if they can't afford it, request they take me off their books and arrange to see another optician. THERE'S A NOTICE ON THE FRONT ASKING PATIENTS TO CONSIDER STAFF AS THEY WORK UNDER COVID CONDITIONS, PERHAPS IT WOULD BE PRUDENT FOR SAID STAFF TO ALSO CONSIDER PATIENTS, ESPECIALLY THE ELDERLY! Really helpful and friendly team. Despite COVID19 restrictions they had maintained all service in the outlet and were regularly cleaning after each patient. Highly recommend.

Staff were friendly and eye test was fine, place felt clean and safe. However, not given prescription on day of test and it took 2 phone calls and a second visit in person to get it nearly 2 weeks later.
