A lovely little gem just outside of Honiton. Coffees, cold drinks, wine, beer, cider. They have their own orchards and vineyards which you can wander around and they make their own wine and cider which you can order off the menu. Can also be bought in the farm shop.
Great menu of salads and sandwiches, with great options for vegetarians and vegans available. Good cake selection as well. There is a play area for the kids, ample seating and parking.
Really welcoming service and attention by the staff.
Great for breakfast and lunch.
Delicious sausage roles and an amazing setting. Spent a good couple of hours here enjoying the gorgeous play park and surroundings (beautiful vineyard, selling delicious sparkling wine). The kids absolutely loved the fairy door trail and the chickens and sheep. Can't wait to visit again.
Kids had fun on the swings etc. And feeding the animals. Food was excellent and "homemade"...the gluten free bread was full of seeds and dark brown, very good and unusual
Lovely friendly cafe in a beautiful setting. Courtyard garden is gorgeous. A delicious sausage sandwich and a brilliant sausage roll. Good coffee, too.
We visited Heron Farm a few days after it opened. It was very impressive on the surface but it wasn't a great experience. We ordered 4 drinks & 3 pieces of cake - 2 coffees and 2 apple juices. 1 coffee and 1 cake never arrived...even after asking two of the ladies who were serving but they were happy to charge us for them. The glasses for the Apple juice were dirty (lipstick on the rim) & the tables were not being cleaned after people had left.
Hopefully these were teething problems but I would save you money and go else where.
