Absolutely first rate service. Moving during the current COVID situation was very stressful, but the staff at Safestore sorted everything out online so that everything could go ahead without me even having to be there. Excellent!!!

Once we found Safestore Exeter (second left, not first) it was incredibly easy.
The receptionists were very friendly and helpful, showing me too the lock up and providing my padlock. As I was on the second floor I was shown the lift and then left to it.
With big shutter doors it was easy to reverse the van up to one of the doors (You could have multiple people unloading at one of the 3 doors) and using multiple Safestore's big trollys we could unload the van and fill the lock up with ease.
There are toilets on the premises.
Summary: very expensive, lots of hidden fee. Will try elsewhere next time.
Was charged a surprise £100 fee for not giving notice before I finished. The guy appologied and said it happens a lot because people aren't told, they have to read the fine print in the contract. After leaving, and settling up the bill they continued to take direct debits, now a faff to get the money back.
My original quote was £15 a week. What I paid was close to £45 a week (and this was in the first 8 weeks with their 50% saving discount).
Staff are friendly and helpful. 24hr access is great. Flatbeds and lift makes it easy to move stuff from a vehicle to the room. Very convienent for moving house, but way more expensive than implied.
