In December I wrote: Modern practice at Riverside, mostly calm under pressure. Too often you have to book too far ahead but urgent cases have been handled well from what other patients tell me.
Since then, improvements have been made to the booking system (excellent online too) and apparently the ability to book appointments at quite short notice. Queries made to Reception have been responded to mostly quickly and comprehensively. Credit where it’s due.
On Friday I felt unwell and rang the surgery, almost immediately a doctor rang me back and invited me to come into the surgery. I was seen by a 5th year student doctor, under the guidance of my regular doctor. I cannot fault the care and attention that I received. The student was extremely thorough, and as he was overseen by the doctor I was very confident. I was at the surgery for well over an hour and feel I received the very best attention, with a follow up appointment in 2 weeks time. Gold stars all round for all staff that dealt with me.
My Prescription is never ready for collection
despite me sending emails, reminder notes and seeing reception staff face to face,this is frustrating and annoying as the staff think I've got nothing better to do than hang around the surgery all the time .
