Lovely, open green. Interesting to explore the ruins. Stopped here before returning along the Granite Way to Okehampton. Highly recommended.

So much history attached to the village. Raided by Vikings in 997, a creepy Norman Castle and stunning National Trust owned gorge. Also has a superb village pub, The Castle Inn which was the inspiration for 'The Judges Parlour', a must read novel.

Very interesting place to have a look at, and free to get in to. Worth a visit if you're going past.

Kinda boring, just some plains old walls. Pub next door is really nice and has character!
