The worst doctors I have been to in my life. You can never get a doctors appointment. I rang up for a medication review which they booked me in for and they rang me up on the day of the appointment saying they booked me for someone who cant even do medication reviews - what is the point in that. The next one they could get me was for just under two weeks time. Bearing in mind I told them I was struggling and that i couldn’t wait that long. I told one of the doctors and she was making excuses that the computer was down. Not once did I get an apology for messing up. They’ve also forgotten to prescribe my medications multiple times, so that I have had to ring up 111 for emergency medication. I would not recommend this doctors to anyone especially with mental health issues as they clearly do not take you seriously. Even the staff on the reception come off as rude.

This place is a joke. Trying to contact them is almost imossible and when you do get through on the phone they are inevitably rude and unhelpful. They inist on you using the My GP app which in itself is pretty poor, but they do not updated it correctly and they have not engaged with all its features. As far as I can tell they use this as an excuse not to speak to you. After a diagnosis of a fairly common condition a couple of years ago the have consistently messed up my medications every time. It takes several repeat calls and corrections to get them to complete the prescriptions correctly. I have had a phone consultation where the doctor told me they were too busy to read my notes. How they know about who they are speaking to I do not know. I've had another doctor request me to do a 24 hour monitor and then they have failed to follow it up despite me contacting them. They simply do not care about the people in their care and are abusive if you ask them for help. My advice is to steer clear.

Refusing to give me medication that I've needed for years, and once I was at an appointment and they literally GOOGLED MY SYMPTOMS and googled if my injection could go in my arm because they didn't know... I'd give 0 if I could

I registered here for university (Edge Hill) as I'm sure many students do. After moving back home for lockdown/ summer I developed a lot of pain in my prostate. I called Beacon to explain, to which the receptionist said there isn't anything they can do and to re-register with my GP back home. (I've checked and this is accurate which is fair enough.) However, after speaking to my local GP, they said I would need to call Beacon back to get my NHS number as I would be able to re-register with them faster than without it. This was so that I would be able to be seen quicker, given the level and area of the pain I was experiencing was quite urgent. I called Beacon back and spoke to the same lady, so she knew the pain I was suffering, and explained that my local GP needed my NHS number. The receptionist, who seemed like she couldn't care any less, unapologetically said that they can't give out an NHS number over the phone. I tried to say that this was requested by my local GP but the receptionist stuck to her guns and denied me the number. I called my local GP back to explain and the receptionist there (who is far more professional and caring) said that the NHS number is not confidential and she has never heard of anyone saying it can't be given over the phone. She even apologised on Beacons behalf and informed me of a form I could download and fill out in order for them to request it on my behalf. Looking at the other reviews I felt like I should share my experience and advise anyone and everyone from joining this practice. Why on earth anyone would get a job as a medical practice receptionist if you're a purposefully awkward and uncaring person is beyond me. I will now be waiting a few more days in a worrying amount of pain just because some woman gets a kick out of being difficult and I'm clearly not the first person she's done this too. Honestly shocking...

Their phone system is really annoying when you want to get through to a receptionist, every time you have to listen to 5 minute long messages before you even get on the waiting line and sometimes the line will drop your call without warning meaning you have to listen to it all over again! Even in the waiting list the prerecorded messages keep popping in and out, its almost like it was made to be as annoying as possible. You really need to fix this. Its annoying enough having to wait before you speak to someone without having to hear the same chopped up message 10's of times before your call gets dropped, anxiety inducing
