This isn’t disappoint! Great service, and the food was amazing. We ordered the scallops and lobster rising as starters. With this we also got freshly baked bread and a small cod starter. The mail meals were delightful. I had the duck and the lamb 3 ways. Overall excellent and high recommended.

This restaurant, dubbed the best in Rye, didn't disappoint. The food was stunning, the service was friendly, helpful and attentative without being intrusive. The atmosphere was intimate. We ordered 3 starters as we couldn't choose between the options. All 3 were incredible with the lamb prosciutto just tipping it as our favourite. Highly recommend. Wouldn't be surprised if a Michelin star is awarded to this beauty at some point.

This was a wonderful restaurant. The scallop starter was amazing, as was the little amuse bouche that preceded it. The marsh lamb dish was one of the best I’ve had - cute little shepherd’s pie was a nice touch! The duck main was delicious, especially the confit leg (may be a bit salty for some palettes) which was complemented nicely with the poached pair. The opera cake dessert was amazing, with its paired sherry. The Nuit St George wine was well worth it. The service was excellent.

We ate here for my partner's birthday . Recommended to us by our b&b hosts. Yes the food was great tasty and beautifully presented. However I felt the service didn't match. It was a tad cold, things such as my wine glass not being filled by waiters didn't seem to match the the style of restaurant it was trying to portray.

A lovely dinner experience, the venue is tranquil but busy enough, everything was well paced (waitress did a great job seemingly on her own on a fairly busy evening), and chef clearly deserves accolades and good reviews, scallops and pork belly starter was delicious and marsh lamb main excellent. Good, not too long, wine list with plenty of choices at various price points. For the quality, very much worth the price. Given covid situation all very clean and with good practices in place.
