Excellent piece of working history. Only open to the public once a month (first saturday). Entirely volunteer run.

Fantastic free exhibition! Spent a lovely afternoon here learning about the history of steam powered water pumps and how they contributed to the development of the area. Knowledgeable team and a nice little cafe where you can sit watching the engines in motion. The nuclear bunker was also interesting to have a nose around. Good for a free (donations welcome) half day activity, I'd recommend it in a heartbeat!

A great location for lovers of preserved steam engine's. Nice person showed up around the intresting site. It's great.

These really are big. The volunteer staff helpful and knowable. The small nuclear bunker is worth a visit too.

So much fun. Welcoming and knowledgeable and very child friendly volunteer team. Lovely cake and coffee and free parking. Also a NUCLEAR BUNKER! What are you waiting for visit and support this great local history project.
